CITY CLERK I I...~ I " I " COP Y Honorable Mayor Members of City Council 211 Eighth Street Seal Beach, Cal. 90740 Gentlemen: As you are probably aware there is a movement afoot, state mandated, that both the Seal Beach Elementary School District and the Los Alamitos School District unify to form a larger district. These districts are cooperating in an attempt to get approval for a plan to unify with each other. As you also know, the two District Boards in question and the Seal Beach City Council all meet on the first and third Mondays of the month. The Los Alamitos City Council has already changed their meeting night to the second and fourth Monday so their constituents can attend School Board meetings. I suggest that the Seal Beach City Council also change their meeting nights to the second and fourth Mondays of the month to allow our interested citizens a chance to attend both City Council and School Board meetings, particularly through these important times. With a copy of this letter I am asking Mr. Myers to place this matter on the agenda for action during our Julyl 19th meeting. Sincerely yours, /s/ F. B. Sales AGENDA ITEM # VI A
