CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE 1I0LDING OF A PRIMARY NOMINATING 'MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY. TH~ 31ST DAY OF MARCH. 1970. FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH. CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS. under the provisions of the Chatter of the City of Seal Beach. a Regular Primary Nominating Municipal Election shall be held on the 31st day of March. 1970'. for the election of three (3) members of the City Council of said City for the full t~rm of four (4) years. NOI~. THEREFORE. A CHARTER CITY. FOLLOWS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH. CALIFORNIA. DOES HEREBY ORDAIN. DECLARE. DETERMINE. AND ORDER AS , I Section 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the City of Seal Beach there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered. held in the City of Seal Beach. County of Orange. State of California. on Tuesday. the 31st day of March. 1970, a primary nominating municipal election of ' the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing three members of the City Council of said City for the full t~rm of four years. That the compensation of: the persons hereinbefore named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty-one Dollars ($21.00) for each inspector and Eighteen Dollars ($18.00) for each judge and each clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for said 'election. When required, the compensation of the custodian of a b~i1ding shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00) for said election. : , Section 6. That the polls for said election shall be open at Seven O'Clock, A.M. (7:00 a.m.) of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said I time until Seven O'Clock P.M. (7:00 p.m.) of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California. Section 7. That in all particulars ~ot recited in this Ordinance said election shall be held an9 conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in said City. Section 8. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give sucb further or addit~ona1 notice of said election in time, form,~arld manner as required by law.
