AN ORDu lANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, A CHARTER CITY, APPROV-
ING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH OF
CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH AND DESIGNATED AS
"ANNEXATION 67-1.'"
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913,
and pursuant to Resolution Number 1645, adopted by the City Council
of the City of Seal Beach on the 18th day of March, 1968, a special
election was held on the 21st day of May, 1968, in that certain
inhabited territory contiguous to the City of Seal Beach, and desig-
nated as Annexation 67-1; and which territory is described in
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof; and

WHEREAS, At a special election the following question was submitted
to the qualified electors residing in said territory:

MEASURE SUBMITTED TO VOTE OF VOTERS
Shall Annexation No. 67-1 be annexed to the City of
Seal Beach, California, and the property in said
Annexation No. 67-1, after such annexation, be sub-
ject to taxation equally with the property within
said City of Seal Beach to pay its pro-rata share,
based upon assessed valuation, of all bonded
indebtedness of said City of Sel;1l Beach outstanding
or authorized at the date of the First Publication
of Notice of Election, for the acquisition, construc-
tion or completion of municipal improvements?
and,
WHEREAS, It appears from the canvass of the votes cast at said special
election that a majority of all votes cast in said territory on the
question of said annexation favor annexation of said territory to the
City of Seal Beach; and
WHEREAS, It appears that said special election and all proceedings
relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with law;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That the annexation of that certain inhabited territory
contiguous to the City of Seal Beach, designated as Annexation 67-1 be
and the same is hereby approved. Said territory is described in
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certift to the adoption of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed
in the County of Orange. The City Cler~ shall thereupon, on the taking
effect of this ordinance, make and cert~fy under the seal of the City
of Seal Beach and transmit to the Secretary of State of the State of
California, a copy of the record of the:canvass in the territory, a
statement showing the date of the election, the time and result of the
canvass, and a certified copy of this ordinance, giving the date of
its passage and description of the territory.
