Restaurant, 12149 Seal Beach Blvd. ~. Secretary gave a brief report on the applic"tion for on'-sale heer and wine in conjunction with Assie's Restaurant, 12149 Seal Beach Blvd.. Seal Beach, CA. Secretary stated t:-Iere were no violations on record and/or objectiC>llS from the neigh~oring co~m~nity. Public Hearing G?ened. No c.ne s?oke from the audience. Public Hearing Closed. Conrllssioner Covington moved to a?prove CP-1-7!1, with the condition that the Conditional Use Permit be reviewed in one year for permatient lic~nse; seco~ied uy Ripperdall and unanimously approved by all members. RESOLurION 1185 B. CP-Z-79, Residential, 16 Marina Driv2 Secretary gave a Sta'ff~Repurt on the application for an addition to an existing resiuence in the a/e/p zone. Public Hearing Opened. No one from the audience responded. Public Heariug Ciosed. Ripperdan expressed concerll as to the '~se of the addition. A spokesman of the applicant rellpondecl Slating the u.,e would be a "gue!;t House." Covington asked if the unit was to be rented at any cime. Discussion iollowed on the potentiel uses of the addition. Knepp moved to approve CP-2-79; seconded by Leibert and unanimously approved by all members. Hours of Operation of Commercial Uses: After considerable discussion on various methods and object~ves of limiting hours of operation, Cook suggested that commercial uses operating after 10 p.~. be subject to a Conditional Use Permit. Secretary,stated the Planning Department would attempt to work out this matter with the City Attorney and to review other jurisdictions for possible solutions and then return to the Commission for further consideration.
