MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF MARCH 19, 1980
THE PLANNING COMMISSION MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON WEDNESDAY,
~~RCH 19, 1980, IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY ADMINIS-
TRATION BUILDING, 211 8th STREET. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO
ORDER BY ACTING CHAIRMAN COVINGTON AT 7:42 P.M. AND THE PLEDGE
TO THE FLAG WAS LED BY COVINGTON.
PRESENT:
ABSENT :
Gilkerson, Leibert, Covington
Excused absence: Knapp', Ripperdan.
The minutes of the March 9, 1980 Commission meeting were approved as submitted.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. Giancola's, CP-7-80
Secretary gave a brief report on the Conditional Use Permit for renewal of
on-sale beer and wine in conjunction with an existing restaurant at 101
Main Street. Public Hearing Opened. No one from the audience spoke for or
against the application. Public Hearing Closed. Leibert moved to approve
the application for one year with renewal application at that time; seconded
by Gilkerson and unanimously approved by members present.

Oral Communications:

Secretary introduced Mr. Wood, California State University Long Beach, and
his Engineering class who were in the audience to observe City Government
with emphasis on EIR's.

Report from Secretary
There was no report from the Secretary. Mr. Covington asked about the Hellman
Estate and Ponderosa Homes. Secretary replied to the question stating that
both parties had held a meeting and that Ponderosa had met with the City Manager.
Gilkerson asked bout the site-work being conducted on the Bixby 18 acre site.
,Secretary responded to the questions stating they were clearing the land of
weeds, etc.
Meeting adjourned 8:04 p.m.
