Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 2706 1977-10-25 I I' I RESOLUTI ON NUMBER of 10 c:o A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL TAKING A POLICY POSITION REGARDING PROPOSED COASTAL COMMISSION INTERPRETIVE GUIDELINES FOR SEAL BEACH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with proposed guidelines on page 3, numbers A3 and 5, pertaining to development conforming with the city's zoning and building heights as being consistant with the goals of the city as represented in the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with proposed guidelines on page 4, number A7, pertaining to beach front build out lines as being consistent with the goals of the city as represented in the Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with proposed guidelines on page 5, numbers A2 and 5, pertaining to height limits and uses as being consistent with the goals of the city as represented in the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the setbacks proposed on page 3, Item'A6, do not comply with the city's setbacks but they do represent a compromise between the setbacks in the interim site specific guidelines and those permitted by the city's Zoning Ordinance. Council would request consideration of the city's setbacks; and WHEREAS, the City Council would oppose Item A3 on page 5 relating to Surfside setbacks on "A" Row adjacent to the beach as being inconsistent with the city's goals for the area; and WHEREAS, the city takes no position at this time regarding the remaining proposed guidelines. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby adopt this resolution as representing the City's position regarding the proposed Interpretive Guidelines of the Coastal Commission.
