A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING PURCHASES
ON CERTAIN ITEMS TO BE MADE FOR THE CITY BY THE
PURCHASING AGENT OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS,
Section 51301 and following, et seq" of the Government Code of
the State of California, authorizes the city to contract with the
county for the performance of certain city functions by the ap-
propriate officers and employees of the county; and
it appears that certain items may be acquired consistent with the
city's centralized purchasing system at a substantially lower cost
by having such items purchased through the county's purchasing
agent; and
the City Council does desire to contract with the county and
authorize the County Purchasing Agent to purchase certain items
for the city; .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby
resolve as follows:

WHEREAS,
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby agree
with the County of Orange that the Purchasing Agent for the County shall be
authorized to purchase for the City of Seal Beach, gasoline, oil, and all
other such items as are regularly purchased by the County. Such items to be
purchased on behalf of the City by the County Purchasin9 Department shall be
those items designated and requested from time to time by the City Manager
of the City of Seal Beach. The amounts of items to be purchased for the City
shall be also designated by the City Manager of the City of Seal Beach.
Section 2. The City of Seal Beach does hereby agree to pay the costs of
the items purchased for the City of Seal Beach by the County of Orange within
fifteen (15) days after being so billed for such costs, provided that the
County shall bill to the City such costs incurred in any month prior to the
end of the following month.
Section 3. Upon the approval of the terms of this Resolution by the Board
of Supervisors, this Resolution shall constitute a contract between the City
of Seal Beach and the County of Orange. Such contract shall be effective from
the date of approval by the County of Orange and shall continue until June 30,
1980, and shall be subject to termination by either party upon giving written
notice to the other party one year in advance of such termination.
