A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH
REQUESTING THAT PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY, CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
IFl, THROUGH THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH BE INCLUDED IN THE
ADOPTED SCENIC HIGHWAY PLAN AND THAT THE STATE DIVISION OF
HIGHWAYS COMPILE A CORRIDOR STUDY IN COOPERATION WITH LOCAL
AGENCIES,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Pacific Coast Highway, California State Highway #1,
passing through the City of Seal Beach is on the State of California
Scenic Highway Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Pacific Coast Highway through the City of
Seal Beach has not been included in the formal adoption of scenic
routes; and
WHEREAS, a corridor study would be desirable to determine the
desirability of including Pacific Coast Highway on the adopted
scenic route designation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the State of California Division of Highways
be requested to conduct a study of the section of California High-
way #1, Pacific Coast Highway, that passes through the City of
Seal Beach to determine possible adoption of said highway as a
scenic route.
Section 2. That the requested corridor study be done in
cooperation with local agencies.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the rStb day of December,
1966, by the following vote:
