A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH ORDERING VACATION OF A PORTION
OF ELDER AVENUE IN TRACT 6016 AND PORTIONS OF
ELDER AVENUE, DOG\o!OOD AVENUE, CANDLEBb:RRY AVENUE
Or~Al~ER STREET Ah~ WISTERIA STREET AND ALL OF
BASSWOOD AVENUE, ALMOND AVENUE, JASMIN STREET
AND MARIGOLD STREET IN TRACTS 6172 AND 6173,
ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH.
The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does resolve as follows:
WHER~AS, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach did, heretofore,
on tDe 27th day of May, 1967, by Resolution No, 1554, declare its
intention to order the vacation of a portion of Elder Avenue in
Tract 6016, offered for dedication at a meeting of the City Council
held on March 7, 1967 and those portions of Elder Avenue, Dogwood
Avenue, Candleberry Avenue, Oleander Street, and Wisteria St~eet
and all of Basswood Avenue, Almond Avenue, Jasmin Street, and Marigold
Street in Tracts 6172 and 6173 offered for dedication at a meeting of
the City Council held on June 27, 1966, as shown on the attached map
listeo as Exhibit B and as described on the attached legal description
listed as Exhibit A; and
'WHEREAS, the City Council did, at said time, declare Monday, June 19,
1967, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. o'clock, at the Council Chambers at
the Seal Beach City Hall, as the time and place for any and all
persons having objections to the proposed vacation of said streets
and avenaes, hereinabove described, to appear and object to the
vacation thereof; and
WHEREAS, notice thereof was duly posted in the manner prescribed by
law and' that the affidavits of posting thereof are on file in the
office of the City Clerk, and evidence having been received that
the respective portion of the above herein described streets and
avenues are ul1necessary for present or prospective public street
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the'City of Seal Beach does
hereby resolve as follows:

SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the foregoing resolution of intention
and the proceedings had hereunder, the City Councilor the City of
Seal Beach hereby makes its order vacating a portion of Elder Avp.nue
in Tract 6016, offered for dedication at a meetin~ of the City Council
held on Mat"ch 7, 1967, and as described i.n Exhibit A and as shown on
Exhibi.t B attached hereto and made a part hereof, and makes its'order
vacating those portions of Elder Avenue, Dogwood Avenue, Cand1eberry
Avenue, 01ea~der Street and Wisteria Street and all of Basswood Avenue,
Almond Avenue, Jasmin Street, and Marigold Street in Tracts 6172 and
6173 offered for dedication.at a meeting of th~ City Council h~ld on
M~rch 7, 1967, and as des'cribed in Exhibit A and as shown on Exhibit
B attached hereto and made a part hereof.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be posted in accordance
with City of Seal .Beach ordinances and state law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Seal
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of June, 1967,
by the following vote:
