HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 1636 1968-03-04 I I I " RESOLUTION NUMBER 1636 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT UPON THE TERMINATION OF THE PROTEST HEARING HELD PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NUMBER l635 IN THE 67-1 ANNEXATION A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Seal Beach has heretofore duly passed Resolution Number 1635 declaring its intention to call a special election in certain inhabited territory, contiguous to the City of Seal Beach, proposed to be annexed thereto, for the purposes recited in said resolution; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to said Resolution of Intention, a protest hearing was duly and regularly held on March 4th, 1968, to allow the filing of protests against said proposed annexation, as provided in the Annexation Act of 1913; and WHEREAS, At the hour set for the meeting no protests having been received or filed, and all persons desiring to be heard having been heard, and said hearing was duly terminated and closed; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, DECLARE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section l, Annexation been made, That in the matter of the protest hearing on the proposed 67-1 to the City of Seal Beach, a majority protest has not PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 4th day of March, 1968, by the following vote: Councilmen ~~, /;~, ~ Councilmen ~.Lb ~ , ~ AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen ATTEST: n /J^ d&-/s 1./~;-'1J ~~i.;~'
