AGENCY BY-LAWS. ARTICLE ill. SECTION 1.
REGULAR MEETINGS
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Adopt Resolution Number 07-05 revising the Redevelopment Agency By-laws to align
with the 2008 schedule of City Council meetings.
BACKGROUND:
Current language in the RDA By-laws for holding regular meetings reads as follows:

SECTION 1. Rel!l1lar Meetines. Regular meetings shall be held on the
fourth-Monday of each month following the adjournment of the City
Council meeting, in the City Council Chambers, 211 - 8th Street, Seal
Beach, California. In the event such fourth Monday shall fall on a legal
holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next succeeding day following the
adjournment of the City Council meeting. The Agency shall conduct at least
one meeting per fiscal year. (Res. No. 89-4; Res. No. 03-4; Res. 05-02)
The Agency staff recommends that the wording change to read:
"SECTION 1. Rel!l1.lar Meetines. Regular meetings shall be held the
same day as City Council meetings, when needed, following the business
portion of the City Council meeting in the City Council Chambers, 211 - 8th
Street, Seal Beach, California. The Agency shall conduct at least one
meeting per fiscal year". (Res. No. 89-4; Res. No. 03-4; Res. 05-02; Res.
07-05)"
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the Agency resulting from changing the By-Laws.
RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the proposed change to the By-Laws.

A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH, AMENDING THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY BY-LAWS - ARTICLE m - SECTION 1. REGULAR
MEETINGS
WHEREAS, The City of Seal Beach Redevelopment Agency establishes By-Laws; and
WHEREAS, The By-Laws of the Agency were last amended in February 28, 2005; and
WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Agency to regularly update the By-Laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the By-Laws of the City of Seal Beach
~edevelopment Agency is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECfION 1. Reeular MeetlDl!s. Regular meetings shall be held the
same day as City Council meetings, when needed, following the
adjournment of the City Council meeting in the City Council Chambers,
211 - 8th Street, Seal Beach, Califnrnia. The Agency shall conduct at least
one meeting per fiscal year. (Res. No. 89-4; Res. No. 03-4; Res. 05-02;
Res. 07-05)"
