ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
10 (a). This is a 2/3 reduction in other than Emergency Services. Emergency
departments will also reduce mileage an unknown number of miles by
reducing non-essential driving.
10 (f). 80% of natural gas and electric power consumption is for operation of
water and sewer system pumps. No reduction can be made in these
essential services. There will be a 60% reduction in natural gas and
electric power consumption for other uses.
11 (f). 80% of natural gas and electric power consumption is for operation of
water and sewer system pumps. No reduction can be made in these essential
services. There will be a 90% reduction in natural gas and electrical
power for other uses.
11 (d). Because our recreational facilities include a beach and pier, we
normally expect to receive an influx of visitors on hot smoggy days.
Thus, although all city facilities except those providing emergency
services will be closed, we will be unable to affect a dramatic decrease
in the number of motor vehicles using munincipal facilities. Beach
parking lots will be closed, but we are unable to prevent parking on
residential streets.
