RESOLUTION NO. ~~~ I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DIRECTING STAFF TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 AND SELECTING PROJECTS AND ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR THE ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, under the Housing and Community Development Act -of 1974, the City of Seal Beach is eligible for funds under Title 1; and WHEREAS, public hearings have been held before the Planning Commission on January 15, 1975, and before the City Council on February 10, 1975, to obtain public input: and WHEREAS, questionnaires were distributed to members of the audience at the public hearing of January 15, 1975, and results of said questionnaire have been forwarded to the City Council; and WHEREAS, tlie City Council finds that the activities contained in Exhibit '~A" are eli~ible activities under the Act and meet urgent community development needs. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby direct the City Manager to complete the application for participation in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, sign all necessary documentation and does hereby select the projects and establish priorities for the activities as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. '., Resolution Number EXHIBIT "A" Activities to be undertaken utilizing Housing and Community Development Act funding in order of priority. I. Allocation of funds for landscaping and related improvements on the Pacific Electric right-of-way greenbelt. 2. Construction of water wells, treatment, transmission and storage facilities. I 3. Construction of storm drain adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway between Balboa Drive and Seal Beach Boulevard. 4. Construction of a senior citizens facility on the Pacific Electric right-of-way. 5. Planning studies concerning (I) code enforcement; (2) rehabilitation of structures and (3) study city blight and capital improvements within the parameters of this Act. I
