A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIm CITY
OF SEAL BEACH I>STABLISHING BUILDING PERI-lIT
AND PLAN CHECK FEES AND RESCINDING ALL
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, Ordi~ance No. 855 of the City of Seal Beach does provide that a
schedule of appropriate fees shall be paid to the Building Official as established
by resolution of the City Council.
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby declared that in the interest
of conformity with the fees adopted by other neighboring jurisdictions and the
state of the economy the fee schedules for permits and plan checks shall be as
follows:
1. BuildinR fees shall be as shown on Exhi~it "A" attached.
2. Valuation data shall be as shown on Exhibit "B" attached.
3. GradinR fees shall be as shown on Exhibit "c" attached.
4. Miscellaneous fees shall be as shown on Exhibit "D" attached.

5. PlwnbinR fees shall be as shown on Exhibit "E" attached.
6. Mechanical fees shall be as shown on Exhibit "F" attached.
7. Electrical fees shall be as shown on Exhibit "G" attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 2164, dated the 8th day of January 1973
and all other resolutions pertaining to building fees are hereby rescinded.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforementioned fees set forth in
Exhibits "A" to "G", inclusive, attached hereto shall be come effective on the
19th day of March, 1973.

Building permit fee for on-site erectian of factory built housing and buildings
utilizes Exhibit "A" and the value af the work of erecting the house or building.
The petm!t fee for site 'development ,for factory built_housing and buildings are as
follows:
For Foatings or Foundation (Exhibit "A), Grading (Exhibit "e), Plumbing
Exhibit "E"), Fire Protection (Exhibit '!E"), Mechanical (Exhibit "F"), and

D. CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY FEE
Before any application for change of occupancy is accepted, a fee shall be
paid by the applicant to cover the cost to the City of the inspection of the

ELECTRICAL PERMIT & PLAN CHECK FEES
New Construction
1. Residential (Single or Multi-family): Fees listed herein
below for new construction include, when this formula is applied
to the square footage area of the building, all electrical
installations:
(a) One and one-half cents (ll.i) per square foot, plus
$3 on a signle family residence and $5 on a multi-
family residence for each service meter, plus $3 for
permit issuance. Also, see Plan Check Fee Schedule
for multi-family "H" occupancy buildings.
(b) One cent (l~) per square foot for detache or attached
garages or carports on the same l\ervice.
(c) Where service, conduit, cable, or wire is installed,
the additional fee for each service connection shall be:
Underground $5.00
Overhead $10.00
2~ Hotel and Motels: Use regular fee schedule in Subsection C
below for all areas except garages or carports.
(a) Regarding garages or carports, one-half cent (l.i) per square
foot for detached or attached garages or carports on the same
service shall be charged for hotel and motel occupancies.
3. Commercial, Industrial and Assembly Occupancies: Use regular
fee schedule in Subsection C below.
4. Non-domestic electrical installation on H and I occupancies shall
use fee schedule in Subsection C below.
B. Alterations, repairs or improvements: Use regulare fee schedule in

C. Regular Fee Schedule: Minimum permit issuance fee of $3, plus $5 for
