RESOLUTION NUMBER-2L 'II
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, HONORING AND WELCOMING
HOME LIEUTENANT COLONEL KENNETH M, HUGHEY.
WHEREAS,
Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth M. Hughey has just been released
by North Vietnam after spending five and one half years as
a Prisoner of War; and
WHEREAS,
in the time Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth M. Hughey was
imprisoned, he served America with dignity, honor and
devotion; and
WHEREAS,
the sacrifice of five and one half years of his life for
his Country is a deed for which the American people and
the citizens of Seal Beach will forever be indebted; and
because of the dignity with which Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth
M. Hughey served his Country in his time of trial, a Peace
with Honor became a reality;
WHEREAS,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal
Beach, California, does hereby honor and welcome home Lieutenant Colonel
Kenneth M. Hughey.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach,
on behalf of the American people and the citizens of Seal Beach, says
"Thank You,"
