HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 2278 1973-12-10 I I 1 J RESOLUTION NUMBER .2;2 7 i A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE CITY OF TUSTIN'S REQUEST TO THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO PLACE ALL OF THE GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARY OF TUSTIN IN THE FOURTH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the City of Tustin is presently located within the boundaries of three Orange County Supervisorial Districts; and WHEREAS, since the City of Tustin is a small city encompassing 4.5 square miles with a population of 28,000 people, the placing of the City of Tustin within three Supervisorial Districts is not in the best interests of all the residents of Tustin; and WHEREAS, because the City of Tustin is divided into three Supervisorial Districts, effective political action with the Orange County Board of Supervisors is severely hindered; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California, does hereby request the Orange County Board of Supervisors to place all of the Geographic Boundary of Tustin in the Fourth Supervisorial District.
