A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING MAY 29, 1973
AS YOUTH CITIZENS DAY WITH ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
OF SELECTED SEAL BEACH YOUTH IN CIVIC AFFAIRS
THAT DAY.
WHEREAS, the youth of a community is the foundation on which a community
grows and improves; and
WHEREAS, only with active involvement in civic affairs may the youth of
a community understand better the workings of their municipal
government; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seal Beach desires to continue the policy of conducting
a Youth Citizens Day program for participation of outstanding
high school students of Seal Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Seal
Beach designates Tuesday, May 29, 1973, as Youth Citizens Day in Seal Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Youth Citizens Day program be held Tuesday,
May 29, 1973 involving selected youth of Seal Beach in municipal affairs
that day and the City Council meeting the evening of the 29th.
