RESOLUTION NO. ~ 0 95
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH RESTRICTING PARKING ON CERTAIN
STREETS OR PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN TIlE
COASTAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, autClllobile parking congestion has become a serious problem in the coastal
portion of the City, especially in those areas nearest the beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has requested that the Planning COJDDlission study the
parking question and report on possible solutions to the problem; and
whereas, the Planning CClllDlission has reviewed possible alternatives to the parking
congestion problem and has adopted Planning Commission Resolution No.
626 recommending restricted parking on one side of certain streets or
portions of certain streets within the coastal district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach
does hereby resolve: .
1. That on-street parking will be limited to one-hour in the following
areas south of Marina Drive and South of the Pacific Electric
right-of-w~ effective as of June 1, 1972.
A. The easterly side of all north-south streets from First Street
through and including Neptune Avenue. '.

B. The westerly side of Main Street.

C. The northerly side of Ocean Avenue, Central Avenue, Central
W~ and Marilla" AvellU!, and the southerly Bide of Ocean Avenue
between Eighth and Tenth Streets. (J.;/)
Parking permits shall be issued to all bona fide residents ~

3. An;y resolutions or portions of resolutions in conflict with this
resolution are hereby rescinded.
