RESOLUTION NUMBER 2104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY BILL NUM-
BER 1322, AND URGING THE AMENDMENT OF SAID
BILL TO INCLUDE THE DELETION OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH FROM THE PROPOSED PACIFIC COAST
FREEWAY ROUTE.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the city of Seal Beach has by
Resolution Numbers 1896, 2039, and 2089 'expressed opposition to
the Pacific Coast Freeway and proposed Route 1 of the California
Freeway System through the city of Seal Beach: and
WHEREAS, Assemblyman Robert E. Badham has introduced Assembly
Bill N~er 1322 calling for the deletion of the City of Newport
Beach from the Pacific Coast Freeway System: ~nd
WHEREAS, The concept of Assembly Bill Number 1322 is responsive
and meaningful to the needs of all of the citizens of the coastal
a~ea in Orange county:

Ndw~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the city
of Seal Beach supports Assembly Bill Number 1322:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Assembly Bill Number 1322 be amended
to include the deletion of the City of Seal Beach from the pro-
posed Pacific Coast Freeway Route.
The 'City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a
certified copy of this resolution to Assemblyman Robert E. Badham,
Assemblyman Robert H. Burke, Senator Dennis E. -carpenter, the
members of the Assembly Transportation Committee; the members of
the Senate Transportation CQmmittee: the members of the Assembly
Ways and Means Committee: the Commission on California State
Government Organization and Economy ("Little Hoover" Commission):
the Board of Supervisors of Orange County: and the Cities of
Costa Mesp, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Newport Beach; and Huntington
Beach.
