A-2-72 FILED BY ROBERT DALTON/UNITED RlMlDELING SYS'l'EMS FROM PLANNING COMMISSION DENIAL OF VARIAlfCE NO. V-15-72 TO PERMIT A ROOM ADDITION AT THE REAR OF A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE WHICH WOULD CAUSE THE MAXIMUM LOT COVERAGE PROVISIONS TO BE EXCEEDED. WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal. Application 1'10. A-2-72, 'the Planning Caamission of the City of Seal. Beach did report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Robert P. Dalton, 633 Island View, Seal Beach, CA. 2. Subject property described as Lot 196, Tract 2590, cClllllllonl;r known as 633 Island View Drive. 3. Subject proposal is to permit a room addition in an R-l Zone with lot coverage of 44'. 4. MaxiDIUIII lot coverage in this district and zone is 40'. 5. Thz:ee persons spoke in favor of the proposal, no one spoke against it. 6. No phYsical hardships could be demonstrated due to shape, size, topographY or location of subject property. WHEREAS, on April 19, 1972 the Planniug ClllIIIIIissiori'of theo'City of.Seal Beach.did deny Variance No. V-15-72 on the basis that the applicant failed to demonstrate hardship; and WHEREAS, the applicant subsequently appealed the Planning Commission's decision to the City Council; and WHEREAS, 'the matter of 'the appeal from the Planniug ClllIIIIIission's denial of Variance V-15-72 came before the City Council for Public Heariug at i'ts regular meetiug of MB.Y 22, 1972, and at1;er receiving testimo~, the City Council lawfully concluded and closed said pUblic hearing. BOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED b;r the City Council of the City of Seal Beach as follova: 1. All notices required b;r law and b;r ordinance of the appeal and public heariug by the City Council upon this matter have been given, posted and mailed as required by law, and 2. Each finding heretofore made by the Planniug CoDaission is true and each such finding was and is supported by substantial evidence, and 3.
