HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 2144 1972-09-25 -, .,- .-:- " I RESOLUTION NUMBER 2144 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DESIGNATING THE NAME OF THE PARK LOCATED AT BLUEBELL AND ALMOND AVENUES AS GUMMERE MUNICIPAL PARK. I, WHEREAS, The City of Seal Beach has acquired one and one-fourth acres of land located at Bluebell and Almond Avenues in the College Park East area; and WHEREAS, siid land was acquired as a result of many hours of personal effort and negotiations by Lloyd E. Gummere, former Mayor and City Councilman; and WHEREAS, said area has now been developed into a park and should be named in honor of the individual who inspired and made the park a reality; and WHEREAS, the City Council feels that Lloyd E. Gummere is the man who is deserving of such an honor. . , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California, that the park located at Bluebell and Almond Avenues shall be known as GUMMERE MUNICIPAL PARK PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 25th day of September, 1972, by the following vote: AYES: CoUncilmen ~ NOES: Councilmen ABSENT: Councilmen nUYL.-R../ ". ~A~_~~ , -- :1 .~.
