A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GRANT OF
EASEMENT FROM GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, General Telephone Company of California, a corporation,
has offered to convey to the City of Seal Beach a
Grant of Easement covering certain water lines over
property described in said Grant of Easement: and
WHEREAS, Said easement is required for public utility purposes:
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the City of Seal Beach, California,
hereby accepts said deed for an easement for public utility purposes
over and acress property described in said Grant of Easement,
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 16th day of March,
1970, by the following vote: ,/;'

GRANT OF EASEMENT AND BILL OF SALE
THE GRANTOR, GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a
corporation, hereby grants to the CITY OF SEAL BEACH, a Municipal
Corporation, an easement to construct, maintain, operate, repair,
replace, alter, inspect and remove a water main and appurtenances for
the conveyance of water, upon, 'over, in, under, across, and along
that certain real property situated in the City of Seal Beach, County
of ORANGE, State of California, described as follows:
Two (2) strips of land each ten (10) feet in width lying within
that portion of Rancho Alamitos per Partition Map No.2, recorded
in Book 700, Page 113, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County,
California, being also a portion of the North half of Section 1,
Township 5 South, Range 12 West, S,B,B,&M" as said Section 1
is defined on said Partition Map, more particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Section 1, as shown in
Orange County S~rveyors Book 104, Page 66 being then, the centerline
intersections of Los Alamitos Boulevard and Garden Grove Boulevard;
tJ:ence North 880 46' 41" west, 2658,15 feet, along the North line
of said Section 1 and the then centerline of said Garden Grove
Boulevard, (now known as Beverly Manor Road); thence South 10 13'
19" West, 40,00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of this
description; thence continuing South 10 13' 19" West 348.48 feet;
thence North 880 46' 41" West, 250,00 feet; thence North 10 13' 19"
East, 348.48 feet to the Southerly line of said Garden Grove
Boulevard; thence South 880 46' 41" East, 250,00 feet to the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING.
The centerlines of said strips of land each ten (10) feet in width
are described as follows:
Strip No, 1:
Beginning in the Southerly line of the above described property,
distant North 880 46' 41" West 12 feet from the Southeasterly
corner of said property; thence North 10 13' 19" East parallel
w~th the Easterly line of said property 295,00 feet to a point
in said property, said point to be hereinafter referred to as
Point "A"; thence continuing North 10 13' 19" East 23 feet.

Beginning at the aforementioned Point "A"; thence South 880 46'
41" East 12 feet to a point in said Easterly line of said
property,
The grantee will indemnify and save the grantor harmless from and
against any and all loss or damage caused by any act of the grantee
or its employers in exercising the rights herein granted.
Grantor reserves the right to revoke this easement upon 90 days
written notice to the grantee provided that the grantor shall not
revoke this easement as long as the facilities of the grantee
located on the above described property are being used by grantee
to render service to grantor or as long as the grantee is required
by Law, Rule or Regulation of any governmental authority to render
service from its facilities to grantor located on said easement,
Upon termination of the rights hereby granted, the grantee shall
execute and deliver to the grantor a good and sufficient Quitclaim
Deed of the rights arising hereunder,

Reserving unto grantor its successors and assigns the right to use
said land for any purpose whatsoever as shall not interfere with
or endanger the use by the grantee of this easement, including but
not limited to the right to construct, relocate, repair, maintain
and use streets, alleys, roadways and pipelines on, in, over, across
and along said land,
This easement is granted pursuant to the authority of and upon and
subject to the conditions prescribed in General Order No, 69-B of
the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California, said
General Order No, ,,69-B being dated and effective September 10, 1963,
and by this reference is hereby incorporated herein and made a part
hereof,
The easement hereby granted is not necessary or useful in the per-
formance of the duties of General Telephone Company.
General Telephone Company by this document does hereby transfer all
rights, title and interest in and to the 325' 6" AC waterline and
appurtenant equipment presently within said easement,
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA
has hereunto affixed its name and corporate seal by its Vice President
and Assistant Secretary thereunto duly authorized this 5th day of
February, 1970.
