RESOLUTION NUMBER ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, A CHARTER CITY, AUTHORIZ- ING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR OR AGAINST A CITY MEASURE. WHEREAS, A general municipal election is to be held in the City of Seal Beach on June 2, 1970, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said city the following city measure: "SHALL THE CITY COUNCIL, ON A PAY-AS-YOU-GO BASIS, UTILIZE RECURRING REVENUES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, COMMENCE A PARK ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM INCLUDING (1) LEASING OR ~CQUIRING A 10.5~ ACRE SITE IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF THE MARINA HILL SECTION OF THE CITYr (2) ACQUIRING BY EXCHANGE OR PURCHASE OF AN EASEMENT FOR PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICLE TRAFFIC AN OCEANWARD EXTENSION OF FIRST STREET TO THE BEACH AREAr AND (3) DEVELOPMENT OF THE MOST WESTERLY PORTION OF THE BEACH (FIRST STREET BEACH) WITH ADDITIONAL PARKING, COMFORT STA- TIONS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES? THIS MEASURE IS ADVISORY TO THE CITY COUNCIL," NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Seal Beach, California, does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows: Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of Seal Beach, hereby authorized Stanley G, Anderson Veda M. Dreis Conway J, Fuhrman Lloyd E, Gummere John B. Hamilton members of said body, to file a written argument for or against the city measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4, of the Elections Code of the State of California, and to change said argument until and including the date fized by the city Clerk after which no argu- ments for or against said city measure may be submitted to him, of the City of on the 7th day ,A~~I__~ ~ - PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council Seal Beach, California, at a meeting thereof held of April, 1970, by the following vote: AYES: councilmen~ ~H'" .
