RESOLUTION NUMBER I~ 13-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE
SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 2nd
DAY OF JUNE, 1970, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF,
AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW,
WHEREAS, A special election was held and conducted in the City of
Seal Beach, California, county of Orange, on Tuesday, June 2, 1970,
as required by Ordinance Number 808 of the City of Seal Beach: and
WHEREAS, Notice of said election was duly and regularly given in
time, form, and manner as provided by law: that voting precincts
were properly established: that election officers were appointed:
and that in all respects said election was held and conducted,
and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed and returns made
and declared in time, form, and manner as required by the provi-
sions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the
holding of elections in general law and charter cities: and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution Number 1839, said special election
was consolidated with the state-wide primary election held on said
date, that the precincts, polling places, and officers of elections
for the special municipal election were the same as those provided
for in the state-wide primary election: and
WHEREAS, Said special election was called for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the voters at a special municipal election of an
advisory proposition relating to a proposed parks program for the
City of Seal Beach: and
WHEREAS, Said advisory proposition was known on the state-wide
primary election ballot as proposition "G" and read as follows:
"Shall the City Council, on a pay-as-you-go basis,
utilize recurring revenues currently available,
commence a park acquisition and development program
including (1) le~sing'9r acquiring a 10,5. acre site
immediately north of the Marina Hill section of the
City: (2) acquiring by exchange or purchase of an
easement for pedestrian and vehicle traffic an ocean-
ward extension of First Street to the beach area: and
(3) developing the most westerly portion of the beach
(First Street beach) with additional parking, comfort
stations, and recreational facilities? This measure
is advisory to the City Council." and
WHEREAS, The county Clerk, County of Orange, has certified as to
the result of the canvass of said Special Municipal Election con-
solidated with the General primary Election held June 2, 1970:
and the number of votes cast for and against said measure are as
follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Seal Beach, California, that the certification of W. E. St.John,
County Clerk of Orange county, hereby attached as "Exhibit A" is
hereby accepted by this City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the CitLof

hereby certify the following to be a full, true and correct
Statement of the Vote of the City of Seal Beach Municipal
Election consolidated with the Primary Election held June
2, 1970.

I hereby further certify that the whole number of votes
cast for and against each measure as is set forth above appears
in the Certified Abstract of Statement of the Vote entered in
the Records of the Proceedings of the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Orange, said records not in my custody.
