RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL
BEACH RESTRICTING AND PROHIBITING CURB PARKING ON
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PACIFIC COAST IlIGHWAY IN THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH.
The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby resolve:
~IEREAS, the City Traffic Engineer has conducted studies regarding the
use of cu~b-parking spaces, and
WlIEREAS, a safety hazard exists on Pacific Coast Highway at the approach
to Anderson Street, and
WlIEREAS, a hazard exists at the school bus stop at the entrance to
Surfside Colony, and
I~IEREAS, it has been recommended to the City Council that to better
accommodate and facilitate the movement of traffic and improve, safety conditions
that certain restrictions be placed on curb parking.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council restricts and
prohibits parking of vehicles as follows:
NO PARKING AT ANY TIME
Pacific Coast Highway, 200 feet northwesterly of Anderson Street on
the southwesterly side to Anderson Street
Pacific Coast Highway, from Phillips Street to 100 feet southeasterly
of Phillips Street on the southwesterly side.
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the lCity!Traffil:uEtig:l:neer:,;:iS
hereby instructed to post said portions of Pacific Coast Highway with appropriate
signs immediately.
