A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, A CHARTER CITY, STATING
THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD MAY 21, 1968, CONCERN-
ING ANNEXATION 67-1.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California, by
Resolution Number 1645, duly called and provided for the holding of
a special election on May 21, 1968, in the territory therein described
and proposed to be annexed to the City of Seal Beach, for the purpose
of submitting to the qualified voters of the territory the proposition
set forth in said resolution and hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, Notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time,
form and manner as provided by law, and said election was on said date
duly held at the polling place designated in said resolution, and the
votes cast thereat were canvassed and the returns thereof made::,at the
time and in the manner and form provided by law; and
WHEREAS, On this 3rd day of June, 1968, said City Council has duly
assembled at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns
of said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the special election for the purpose of submitting to
the voters of aforesaid territory the proposition hereinafter set forth
was duly held on May 21, 1968, and the votes cast thereat were duly
and regularly canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and
in the form and manner required by law.
Section 2. That the proposition voted upon at said election is as
follows:
Shall Annexation No. 67-1 be annexed to the City of
Seal Beach, California, and the property in said
Annexation No. 67-1, after such annexation, be sub-
ject to taxation equally with the property within
said City of Seal Beach to pay its pro-rata share,
based upon assessed valuation, of all bonded indebted-
ness of said City of Seal Beach outstanding or
authorized at the date of the First publication of
Notice of Election, for the acquisition, construction,
or completion of municipal improvements?
Section 3. That the absent voter ballots have been duly canvassed and
counted as required by law, and the result of such count is herein-
after stated. That this City Council has duly canvassed the returns
of said election and from said returns it appears, and this City
Council finds, that the total number of votes cast in the election

precinct established for said election upon said proposition, and the
number of votes cast therein for and against said proposition, the
total number of absentee votes cast at said election upon said
proposition and for and against said proposition, and the total number
of votes cast in said territory upon said proposition and for and
against said proposition, are as follows:

Section 4. That the votes of more than one-half of all the voters
voting at said election were cast for the adoption of said proposition,
and that said proposition is hereby declared to have carried.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of June, 1968, by
the following vote:
