ORDINANCE NO. 530
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL
BEACH PROVIDING FOR A LOADING
ZONE IN THE VICINITY OF 209 BAY
BOULEVARD
,
The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does ordain as foLLows:
SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any vehicle to be left standing,
stopped or parked, except for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers
and freight along the westerly curb of Bay Boulevard, between the intersection
of the prolongati.on of the side lot lines of Lot 9, Blbck 217, Tract 10,
and the westerly curb of Bay Boulevard, which is at the address commonly
known as 209 Bay Boulevard, Seal Beach, California.
SECTION 2: It shall be presumed that the registered owner of any
such vehicle so left standing, stopped or parked, is the person who left such
vehicle so standing, stopped or parked, which shall be a rebuttable presumption
and the burden shall be on the registered owner to show that he did not leave
such vehicle so standing, stopped or parked.
SECTION 3: Persons violating this Ordinance shall be deemed to
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shaLL be fined not
more than $50.00 or imprisoned for not more than 10 days, or both fined and
impris oned.
SECTION 4:
The Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the "Seal
Beach Post and Wave", a newspaper of general circulation printed, published
and circulated in the City of Seal Beach.
PASSED. APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
