" " . ~---:7'"--..-1--~---'-" _._0_- """ .-'". i' RESOLUTION N~lBER ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, HONORING AND COMMENDING EUGENE H. SIMPSON, CAPTAIN, U. S. NAVY. The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, California, a charter city, does hereby resolve: WHEREAS, Eugene H. Simpson, Captain, U. S. Navy, assumed command of the U. S. Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California, on August 26, 1966: and WHEREAS, Eugene H. Simpson, Captain, U. S. Navy, will relinquish command of the U. S. Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California, on June 30, 1969: and WHEREAS, Eugene H. Simpson, during the time he has been the Commanding Officer of the U. S. Naval Weapons Station,.Seal Beach, has given unstintingly of his time, his knowledge, and his talent in behalf of the City of Seal Beach in promoting community better- ment in civic, yputh, social, and cultural endeavors: and WHEREAS, Eugene H. Simpson will be missed by all of the citizens of the City of Seal Beach, and particularly by those who have been closely associated with him in his efforts in behalf of the community; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach honors and commends Eugene H. Simpson for his efforts and accomplishments while he was Commanding Officer of the U. 'So Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California.
