AN CRDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN UNINHABITED AND C(l\/TIGUaJS TERRIT-
CRY TO STUD CITY, AND PROVIDING FCR THE PUB-
LICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach, Calif-
S ornia, did by unanimous vote on the 21st day of August, 1950, at a
7 regular meeting of said body, regularly and duly adopted Resolution
8 No. 711 entitled: nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH PROPCSING
9 TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED AND CONTIWOOS TERRITCRY TO SAm CITY,
10 DECLARING TIiE PROCEEDINGS TIiEREFOR TO HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE
11 CITY camcIL OF SAID CITY 00 ITS OWN MOTION, GIVING REASONS TIiEREFCR,
12 GIVING NOTICE OF A HEARING FCR SAID ANNEXATION, AND PROVIDING FCR
13 THE PUBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTIONn, and
14 \VHEREAS, the proceedings initiated by said Resolution were
15 initiated by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach of its own
16 motion and said Resolution did so declare, and
17 WHEREAS~ said Resolution contained a notice that on the 7th
18 day of September, 1950, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the City
19 Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Seal Beach, loc-
20 ated in the City Hall, was the time and place, When and Where any
21 person owning real property within said territory proposed to be
22 annexed and having any objections to said proposed annexation may
23 appear before said City Council and show cause why such territory
2' should not be so annexed, and the time and place said City Council
25 will hear and pass upon all protests made by any person owning real
26 property within said territory, and
27 WHEHlS, the property and territory described in said Resolut-
28 ion was oot at the time of the adoption of said Resolution nor since
29 a part of any municipal cotporation, and
30 WHEREAS, the. City Clerk of the City of Seal Beach did cause
31 a copy of said Resolution to be published at least once a week for
32 two successive weeks prior to the hearing therein provided for, in the '

2 published and circulated in the City of Seal Beach, on the following
dates, to wit: August 25, 1950 and September 1, 1950, and
WHEREAS, no protest was made by the owner or owners of any
of the property within the territory hereinafter described, and no
8 such owner or owners appeared at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach
does ordain as follows:
. Section ~. That the City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the facts, and each of them, set forth in the pre-
amble hereto are true and correct.

SectiQn 2. That the City Council of the City of Seal Beach,

being the legislative body of said'City, does hereby ,approve of said
annexation and that the boundaries of said City of Seal Beach are
hereby altered and the said territory is hereby annexed to, and in-
corporated and included within the City of Seal Beacg, California,
and said City shall have all ,rights and powers in, to and over said
territory as are provided by la~.
Said territory so annexed is hereby described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly boundary
line of the County of Orange, which point is
also a point in the line of ordinary high tide
of the Pacific Ocean, said point also being
South thirty-three degrees West 199.25 feet
from Station 1, Los Angeles County-Orange
County boundary as established by Sections 3927
and 3938 of the Political Code of the State of
California, thence from said point of begInn-
ing South thirty-three degrees West a distance of
three miles, thence in a south-easterly direction
in the waters of the Pacific Ocean to a point,
which point is a distance of three miles South

thirty-six degrees fifteen minutes West, more

or less, from a point in the line of ordinary
high tide of the Pacific Ocean, Which is also
a point in the easterly boundary of the City
of Seal Beach as existing on August 20, 1950,
thence North thirty-six degrees fifteen minutes
East, more or less, a distance of three miles
to a point in the line of ordinary high tide of
the Pacific Oceam, which is also a point in the
10 easterly boundary of the City of Seal Beach, County
11 of Orange, State of California as existing on
12 August 20, 1950.
13 Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of

14 this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed and published
15 once in the ~~ BEACH,POST & WAVE, a newspaper of general circulat-

18 ion printed, published and circulated in.the City of Seal Beach, and
17 it is hereby designated for that purpose.
18 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
19 days from and after the adoption hereof.
20 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADCPTED by the City Council of the Citoy
21 of Seal Beach this day of September, 1950.
