There is hereby adopted by the City of ~eal Beach for
the purpose of providinB for fire prevention and protection in
connection ','ith hazarjous materials and processes, that certain
code kno"ffi as the Fire Prevention Code, Ahbreviated Edition, recom-
mended by the National Board of Fire Undervll'iters 01' ;:ew York,
being particularly the 1950 edition thereof and the ~no1e thereof,
save and except such portiors as are hereinafter deleted, modified,
or amended, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and
now are filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Seal Beach
ard the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if ~et
out at length herein, and from the date on ~'hich this ordinar.ce
shall take effect, the ~rovisior,s thereof shall be controlling
within the limits of the City of Seal Beach.

ordirance or of the code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other
