The City of Soal Beach, by and through its City Council, doos ordain as follows: SECTION 1: It is heroby declared unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation, either as principal, agent, or employee, or otherwise, to cop1uct or mai-tain .dthin the City of Seal Beach any public or private place wherein dancing, or other form of entertainment is permitted and wherein intoxicating liquor, or liquors, are sold. SECTION ?: It is hereby declared unlawful for any per- son, firm, or corporation, either as principal, agent, employee, or otherwise, knowlingly to permit any building either owned or leased by him or it, or under his or its charge or control, in said City of Seal Beach to be used in whole or in part as a place for conducting a public or private dance, or other form of enter- tainment wherein any intoxicating liquor, or liquors, are sold. SECTION ~: All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith are hereby specifically repealed. SECTION 4: Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00, or by i~isonment in the city jail of the City of Seal Beach, or the county jail of Orange County for a term not exceedipg six months, or by both such fine and imprison- ment. -1- , 10 11, 121 13 14 15 16 l7 Ordinance Number 11 SECTION ,: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordi~ance, ar.d shall cause the same to be publi~hed once in the Seal Beach Post and Wave, a weekly nmispaper printed, puhlished, and circulated in the City of Seal Beach, Cal- ifornia, and thirty day~ after the adoption thereof, the sa~r ~~all 2 3 41 51 61 7 8 1951. 91 - be in full ~orce and effect.
