RESOLUTION NO. l2g{J..
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE
ENFORCEMENT CF STATE MOBILEHOMES AND MOBILEHOME
PARKS LAW AND RELATED MATTERS.
WHEREAS, the City Council i~tends to adopt and to become
actively engaged in the enforcement of State's Mobilehome and
Mobilehome Parks Actl and
WHEREAS, the California Legislature at its 1961 session
passed Chapter 2761, Statutes of 1961, repealing the State
Trailer Park Act and adopting the State Mobilehomes and M6bile-
home Parks Law which became effective September 15; 1961; and
WHEREAS, the State Mobilehomes and Mobilehome Parks Law
applies statewidel and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach,
California, in accordance with the provisions of Section l8DlO
of the Health and Safety Code desire to enforce said Mobile-
homes and said parks inspection and licensing program;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Seal Beach as follows:
Section l. That the City of Seal Beach does assume the
responsibility for the enforcement of Part 2 of Division 13 of
the California Health and Safety Code and the Rules and Regu-
lations of the California Administrative Code, T.itle 8,
Chapter 9, Artioles 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, and 5, and other appli-
cable laws.
Section 2. That the City Planning Department shall enforce
all the provisions of said law pertaining to the location, design,
and improvement of Mobile?ome, Travel Trailer, Recreational, and
Temporary Trailer Parks in the incorporated area of the City of
Seal Beach.
Section 3. That the Department of Building a~d Safety of
the City of Seal Beach shall enforce all the provisions 'pertaining
to the construction, reconstruction, alteration, o~ modification
of such parkS, homes, and trailers.
Section 4, That the Department of Building and Safety of
the City of Seal Beach shall enforce all the provisions pertaining
to the operation, maintenance, use, occupancy, and sanitation of
such parks, homes, and trailers.
Upon Motion of Councilman Leonard, seconded by Councilman
Nescher, the foregoing resolution as adopted and passed.
