A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH ENTERING INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS, the public beach located within this City is used by large
nUIDbers of residents of Orange County generally who are not residents of this
City, and
WHEREAS, this City and similar cities within Orange County, together
with the County of Orange and the State of California with regard to beaches
under their control, have a mutual interest in exchanging emergency lifeguard
services;
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the additional maintenance cost imposed upon this City by said
beach use by non-residents is the cost of additional lifeguard services, in the
amount of Sixteen-Thousand Dollars ($16,000) for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1966; and financial assistance by the County of Orange in that amount
for said fiscal year is hereby requested )lnder Sections 25551 and 25552 of the
Government Code of the State of California;
2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the attached agreement with the County of Orange providing for such
financial assistance and for said mutual emergency lifeguard exchange during
said fiscal year;
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution of the City of Seal Beach and shall forward a certified copy to the
Office of the County Counsel, Santa Ana, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council
on the 24th day of May, 1965, by the following vote:
