RESOLUTION NO. L057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE,
CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, CREATING
THE POSITION OF CITY ADMlNlSTRA TOR, AND
PROVIDING FOR A SALARY THEREFOR.

The City Council of the City of Seal does _hereby resolve
as foLLows:
SECTION b 1'hat there is hereby created within the City of Seal Beach'
the position of City Administrator, such posLtio,n to take effect May ~ 19,60.
SECTION 2: The position of, City Administl7ator shall not be under,
the classified civil service system 'and any person appointed to such
?Osition shall ft'le a written statement with the City Clerk prior to, assuming
, ,
office, agreeing that,such apppintme n t shall not be under the c'lassified

civil service system..
SECTION 3: The City Adminis~rator shall serve at the wiLL and
pleasure of the ,City Council of the City of I'eal Beach and shan per.form

stich duties as may be prescribed,by the City Council from ti~e to time;
he shall be responsible for the execution of policies prescribed by the
City Council and shall have authority over aLL departments and-employees
of the City except elective officers and the Gity Attorney. The City
Attorney shall fuLLy cooperat'e with the City Administrator in the proper
execution of council policies.

SECTION 4: The salary of the position of City Administrator shaLL
