A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL Oli' TIlE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH REQUESTING THE ORANGE COtlN'l'Y
BOUNDAAY COMMISSION TO REPORT TO THE CITY
COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO THE DEFINITENESS AND
CERTAINTY OF PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF CE:RTAIN
TERRITORY WHICH IS PROPOSED TO BE ANNE:XED TO
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH

7 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOE:S RESOLVE
8 AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the city Council of the City of Seal
Beach as a legislative body of said City, desires to initiate pro-
ceedings on its own motion ~o annex certain hereinafter described
territory to the City of Seal Beach under the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited 'Territory Act of 1939 of the State of
California,' ~d said City Council is therefore the proponent Under
the provisions of Section 35002 of the Government Code of the state
of California.

SECTION 2: That the territory proposed to be annexed i
uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Seal Beach and does
contain less than twelve (12) registered voters residing within it.
SECTION 3: The City Council Of the city of Seal Beach,
as proponent, hereby requests the Orange C6unty Boundary COmmission
to report to the City Council of the City of Seal Beach 'with respec
23 ~to the definiteness and cert~iDty, and with respect to, the other
matters provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code, of
the proposed bQunda;ies of the territory proposed to be annexed to'
the City of Seal Beach and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of the
east one-half of Section Thirteen, Township Five
south, Range Twelve west, in the County of Orange
State of California, said point being north zerQ
degrees 28 minutes 17 seconds east, a distance of
326.51 feet, more or less, from the corner of the
southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the
southeast quarter of the aforesaid Section, thence,
south 87 degrees 30 minutes east, a distance of
1148.14 feet, more or less; thence, south 3 degrees
45 minutes east, a distance of 904.20 feet, thence,

SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Resolution by the City Council of the city of
Seal Beach, and it is directed to forwar(l. to and file with the
Secretary of the orange County Boundary Commission two certified
copies of the same, together with a letter requesting that the
said CommiSsion report to the City Council as ~o the definiteness
and certainty of the proposed boundaries and other matters provided

for by Section 35002 of the Government Code, the Clerk shall also
file with the County Clerk and Registrar of Voters of orange county
a certified copy of this Resolution, together with'a map of the pro
posed area.
SECTION 5: Resolution No. 1074 was heretofore submitted
to the orange county Boundary commission and on August 15, 1960 the
Boundary commission, by minute order, found that the boundariel! of
the annexation proposed in Resolution No. 1074 were not definite
and cer~a1n, and ordered all documents referred to the City for
correction and re-submission, Which proposed annexation was
designated Annexation No. 3 by the BoUndary Commission; Resolution
No. 1074 is hereby amended by the description set forth in
section 3 hereof.
