I/O!> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH REQUESTING TlJE ORANGE COUNTY BOUNl)ARY COMMISSION TO REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO THE DEFINITENESS AND CERTAINTY OF PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF CER- TAIN TERRITORY WHICH IS PROPOSED TO BE . ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF SEAL BE~CH AND TO BE DESIGNATE:!) "ANNEXATION NO.5" 7 The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does ~es01ve 8 as follows: 9 , Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Seal 10 Beach, as a legislative hody of said cIty, desi~es to initiate 11 proceedings on its own motion to annex certain hereinafter de~ 12 scribed territory to the City of Seal Beach under the provisions 13 of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 of the 14 15 State of californiaJ and said City Council is therefore the pro- ponent under the prOVisions of section 35002 of the Government 16 Code of the State of california. 17 Section 2: That the territory proposed to be annexed 18 is ~ninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Seal Beach and 19 does contain less ~han twelve (12) registered voters residing 20 within it. 21 Section 3: The City Council of the City of seal Beach 22 does hereby designate the proposed annexation as "Annexation No.5" 23 and, as proponent, hereby requests the orange County Boundary 24 Commission to report to the City council of the City of Seal Beac 25 with respect to the definiteness and certaintYJ and with respect 26 27 to the other matters provided for in Section 35002 of the Govern- ment Code, of the proposed boundaries or territory ,proposed to 28 be annexed to the City of Seal Beach and a copy of the descriptio 29 of such territory is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and , 31 30 made a part hereof by reference. 32 and adoption of this Resolution by the City Council of the city 0 Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage ( ~~'''.g..
