AND REGULATICN OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES AND
PURSUITS, CARRIED eN WITHIN SAID CITY.
REPEALING ORDnIANCES NOS. 152, 202, 213,
AND ALL OTHER ORDI~ANCES A1!D PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. AND
PROVIDIIlG PENALTIES FOR THE VIOiATICN
THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Seal BeaCh, California,
does ordain as follows:
,Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation, as principal, agent or" ptherwise, to commence,
or do, or cause to be done, or commenced, or to construct, or
cause to be constructed, any construction work on any building,

structure, or other construction or improvement, or in connection

therewith, which is customarily done by the following enumerated
building trades, without first obtaining a City license so to do,
and paying the license fee, hereinafter designated for each of
such tra~es or occupations, to wit:
1. Building Contracting - Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per year.
2. Cement Contracting - Twenty-five Jollars (~25.00) per year.
'3. Electrical Contracting-TV'enty-five Dollars (e25.00) per year.
4. Plumbing Contracting - TVlenty-fi"e Jollars ($25.00) per year.
5. Roofing Contracting - ~1enty-five Dollars ($25.00) per year.
6. Lathing Contracting - Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) per year.
7. Plastering Contracting-Twenty-five Dol1ars ($25.00) per year.

Nothing in this Section shall be construed to prohibit

Section 2. That, as a requisite to the issuance of a
license to engage in ~ny of the atove enumerated trades or
occupatirns in tho City of Ceal Beach a"licant shall h&ve, in
full force and effect~ a license for such ~~r~~ issueG by the
Contractors State License Board, Department of Professional and
Vocational Standards, of the State of California.
Section 1. The annual License Fee hereinabove shown
shall be ,ayable annually, in advance, and shall expire one year
after the date of issuance.

Section 4. Any person~ firm or corporation, as prin-
cipal, agent or other~ise, violating the provisions hereof~
shall Qe ceeMed guilt~T of a misdet:leanor and, upon conviction
thereof~ shall be punished by a fine of not more than Three
Hundred Dollars (0300.00), or by imprisonment of not more than
three (3) oonths, or by both such fine and inprisonment, and
each ~ays violation shall be ceemed a separate violation.
Section 5. Crdinances 152, 202, 213 an~ ell other
ordirances End parts of ordi~ances in conflict here~ith are
hereby repealed.
Section 6. The City Clrrk shall attest the adoption

of t~is ordinance and shell cause the same to be published once
in thr Seal ~cach Post end ~ave, a neuspaper ~rinted, published
and of general c~roulatirn in said City, after ~hich it shall
be in full force and effect.
