A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH ENTERING INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS. the public beach 10cated within this City is used by large numbers
of residents of Orange County generally who are not residents of this City; and
WHEREAS. th~s City and similar cities within Orange County. together with
the County of Orange and the State of Catliornia with regard to beaches under
their control, have a mutual lnterest in exchanging emergency liieguard services;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLvED.AND ORDERED:
1. That the additional maintenance cost imposed upon this City by said
beach use by non-residents is the cost of additional1iieguard serVices, in the
amount of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Fiity Dollars {$4, 950} for the fiscat year
ending June 30, 1963; and financial assistance by the County of Orange 10 that
amount for said fiscal year is hereby requested under Section 2.5551 of the Govern-
ment Code of the State of Calliornia;
2.. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute the attached Agreement with the County of Orange providing for such
flnandal assistance and for said mutual emergency liieguard exchange during
said fiscal year.
3. The City Clerk shall certliy to the passage and adoption of this resolution
of the City of Seal Beach and shall forward a certified copy to the Off~ce of the
County Counsel, Santa Ana, Caliiornia.

Council on the 6th day of August, 1962..
