I AN ORDINANOE OF THE OITY OF BEAL BEACH, OALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE OF TAXEB NECESSARY AS A REVENUE TO OARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE OITY OF SEAL BIACH, AND TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS FALL- ING DUE FOR THE OURRENT YEAR 1940-1941; FIXING THE -RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT YEAR 19lH>-19!j.l; DESIGKATIBG THE IroKBER OF CENTB ON EACH ONE HURDRED DOLLARS OF PROPERTY VALUATION FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS or SAID OITY UPON THE WHOLE OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY OF SAID OITY AS ASSESSED BY THE OITY ASSESSOR AND EQUALIZED BY THE OITY COUNOIL OF SAID CITY AND HEREBY LEVIED UPOK THE WHOLE OF SUOH TAXABLE PRO- PERTY OF SAID OITY or SEAL BlCAOH. I The Oity Oouncil of the Oity of Seal Beach, Oalifornia doss ordain as follows: WBEREAB, the registered voters of the Oi ty of Seal BeaOh, Oalif ornia, under Ordinance No. 154, entitled: RAn Ordinanoe of the City of Seal Beach, Oalifornia, for the Assessment and oolleo- tion of Taxes in said Oity, the Appointment of a Deputy Oity Olerk who shall be Ex-Offioio Tax Assessor, and Repealing Ordinance 10. 12 and all Ordinances or parts of Ordinanoes in oonfliot herewi~h,R did at a General MUnioipal Eleotion held in said City on April l!j.th, 1930, and whioh such Ordinance was submitted as an Initiative,oast a suffioient number of votes in favor of the ad- option of such Ordinanoe, relative to the assessment and oolleo- tion of taxes by said Ci~y and for said munioipal oorporation, and by said Ordinanoe there was created in said Oity the Offioe of a Deputy Oity Clerk who shall be Ex-Offioio Assessor and Tax Oollector of said Oity; and, WHEREAS, suoh Assessor has oompleted an Assessment of all taxable property within the oorporate limits of said Oity subjeot to taxation in aooordanoe with the provisions of said Ordinanoe, the laws and the Oonstitution of the State of Oalif- ornia, and prepared an assessment roll thereof, and deposited the same With the Oity Olerk for submission to the Oity Council of said City, and whioh Oity Oounoil has duly equalized the same, showing the total value of all property within the Oity of Seal Beach for the oorporate year 19~0-1~1 as equalized and to be oolleoted, and fixed the sum, as shown by said Assessment Roll for said year at: $6,g6a.045.00j and, WHEREAS, the amount of money asoertained and neoessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property wi thin the Oi ty of Beal Beach as a revenue to oarry on the various depart- ments of said Oi ty, and to pay the bonded indebtedness falling due for the ourrent year 194-0-194-1 is fixed at the sum of $67,695.00; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE gITY OOUNOIL, as- follows: I < 1. I Senion 1: That the total valuation of the taxable property of the Oity of Seal Beaoh is the sum of $6,g6g,045.00 and shall be used as a baeis for the levy of the taxes for the Ci ty of Seal Beach, Oalifornia, whioh levy shall be made and oolleoted as by law provided. Seotion 2: That the rate of taxes for municipal pur- poses and to pay the bonded indebtedness and interest of the Oity of Seal Beaoh, California, for the our rent year 1911-0-1941 is hereby fixed at $1.00 on eaoh One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said Oi ty, and said sum is hereby levied upon all of said taxable property of said Oity as asoertained and assessed by the Oity Assessor and equalized by the Oity Council of the Oity of Seal Beaoh, Oalifornia, as aforesaid, and whioh rate, so fixed, shall be apportioned among the general and special funds to pay the ourrent expenses, bonded indebtedness and interest and other indebtedness of said City falling due for the fiscal year 1940-1941 and other several SUlllS to be raised and fixed as provided by law, as follows, to-wit: 1. For the General Fund $0.63GG on each One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said 01tYi 2. For the MUsio and Promotion Fund $0.0457 on eaoh One Hundred. Dollars of the taxable property of said 01 tYi 3. For the Sewer Bond Indebtedness Fund of 1917 $0.02olj. on eaoh One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said Oi tYi 4. I'or the Munioipal Improvement Bond Fund $0.0235 on eaoh One Hundred Dollars of the Taxable property of sald Oi tYi 5. For the Waterworks Bond Indebtedness Fund of 1922 $0.0391 on eaoh One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said 01 ty i 6. For the Sewage Treatment Bond Fund of 1935 $0.0412 on each One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said 01 tYi I I ~ 2. Ordinance Number . . . . .' I 7. For the Breakwater Bond Fund of 1935, $0.0603 on each One Hundred Dollars of the taxable p~operty of said City; 8. For the Waterworks Bond Fund of 1935, $0.0185 on each One Hundred Dollars of taxable property of said Oity;. 9. For the Municipal Pier Bond Fund of 1938, Series One, $0.0620 on each One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said Oi ty; 10. For the Municipal Pier Bond Fund of 1938, Series Two, $0.0505 on each One Hundred Dollars of the taxable property of said Oity; Section 3: The Oity Olerk shall cause this Ordinance to be posted in three public places in said Oity of Seal Beach, to-wit: the Oity Hall Building, the U. S. Post Office, and the Solarium at end of Municipal Pier, and it shall thereupon take effeot.
