The Oi ty Oouncil of the Oi'ty of Seal Beach, Oalifornia,
does ordain as follows:
~otion 1. !bat Seotion 5 of Ordinanoe 10. 170, entitled
as above, and as 8IIIended by Seotion 1 of Ordinance 10. 227 of said
Oity, adopted September 1, 1938, whioh reads as follows:
"Seotion 5. There shall be paid to said fire department
as compensation of its members for attendanoe at fires! fire
drills and meetings,_the sum of Seventy-five Dollars ('75)per
I month, payable montlU.Y, upon demand or demands properly drawn,
___ ___~~Ii1ted and allowed in due oourse of pa~nts by said oity";
- I be, and the same is hereby 8IIIended to read. as follows:
Seotion 5. There shall be paid to said fire department
as oompensation of its members for attendance at fires, fire drills
and meetings the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month, pay-
able monthlY, upon demand or demands properly drawn, audited and
allowed in due oourse of pa1lllents by said oity.
Seotion 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
oonfliot with this ordinanoe are hereby repealed.
Seotion 3. The Oity Clerk shall oause this ordinance to
be poeted in three publio plaoes in said City of Seal Beach, to-
wit: the Oity Hall building, the U. S. Post Offioe, and the Solarium,
at the outer end of the Munioipal pier, and it shall thereupon take

effeot.
