TY CLERK'S OF~')~ RDINANOE OF THE OITY OF BEAL BEACH, GilL FORNIA, PROHIBITING OPEN FIRES AND IRING PERJ..IITB FOR THE B4~_ PROVIDING PENALTlEB FOR THE VIOLATION HEKJ!iOF, AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANOES IN OONFLIOT HEREWITH. ' I I I The Oity Oounoil of the Oity of Seal Beaoh, Oalifornia, doss hereby ordain as follows: SEOTION 1: The tem "open fire" as used in this ordinance shall be oonstrued to mean and shall mean fires built in the open air and outside of closed structures and buildings. SEOTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person to ignite, kindle, start or maintain an open fire on any public or private property within the oity limits of the Oity of Seal Beach between the hours of one hour before sunSet and one hour after sunrise on any day. SEOTION 3: It shall be unlawful for any person to build, star~, or maintain an open fire upon any beaoh within the limits of the Oity of Seal Beach between the hours of one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset of any day without first having secured a permit so to do from the Chief of Police, whioh permit shall designate the name and address of the applioant and the looation of such fire whioh is to be oonfined within the fire rings provided for suoh purpose and looated on suoh beaoh area, and it shall be unlawful for such appli- oant to leave suoh fire without first oompletely putting it out so that it will not burn again. SEOTION 4: Any person who shall violate any provision of this Ordinanoe shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon oon- viotion thereof shall be punished by a fine of not exoeeding $300.00, or by imprisonment in the Oity Jailor in the Oounty Jail for not to exoeed three months, or by both suoh fine and imprisonment. SEOTION 5: All ordinanoes or parts of ordinanoes in confliot with this Ordinanoe are hereby repealed. SEOTION 6: This Ordinanoe is required for the immediate preservation or the public peaoe, health and safety, and shall take effect immediately, and the following is a statement of faots con- stituting such urgenoy: The United States is at war and this Oity is in great and continuing danger of air and other attack by the enemy. SEOTION : The Oity Olerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance an oause it to be published once in the Seal Beaoh Post & Wave, a newspaper of general circulation] printed and pub- lished in the Oity of Seal Beach and thenoefortn and thereafter the same shall be in full foroe and effeot.
