AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH.
CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES
NECESSARY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE
VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF SEAL
BEACH~ AND TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS
FALLI~G DUE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR 1942-
1943' FIXING THE RATE OF. TAXATION FOR
THE CURRENT YEAR 1942-1943; DESIGNATING
THE NUMBER OF CENTS ON EACH ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS OF PROPERTY VALUATION FOR THE
VARIOUS FUNDS OF SAID CITY UPON THE VlliOLE
OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY OF SAID CITY AS
ASSESSED BY THE CITY ASSESSOR AND EQUALIZED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY AND HEREBY
LEVIED UPON THE WHOLE OF SUCH TAXABLE PRO-
PERTY OF SAID CITY OF SEAL BEACH.

12 The City Council of the City of Seal Beach,
13 California. does ordain as follows:

VffiEREAS, the registered voters of the City of
Seal Beach, California. under Ordinance No. 154, en-
ti tIed: "An Ordinance of t;'j,e City of Seal Beach.
California, for the assessment and Collection of Taxe
in said City, the Appointment of a Deputy City Clerk
who shall-be Ex-Officio Tax Assessor, and Repealing
Ordinance No. 12, and all Ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith," did at a General
Municipal Election held in said City on April 14th,
1930, and which such Ordinance was submitted as an
Initiative, cast a suffioient number of votes in favo
of the adoption Of such Ordinance, relative to the
assessment and collection of taxes by said City and
for said municipal corporation, and by said Ordinance
there was created in said City the Office of a Deputy
City Clerk who shall be Ex-Officio Assessor and Tax
Collector of said City; and,
WHEREAS, such Assessor has completed an Asses -
ment of all taxable property within the corporate

3 the Constitution of the State of California, and pre-
4 pared an assessment roll thereof, and deposited the
5 same wi th the City Clerk for submi ssion to the City
6 Council of said City. and which City Council has duly
7 equali zed the same" shoy~ing the total value of all

8 property within the City of Seal Beach for the corpor-
e ate year 1942-1943 as equal ized and to be collected.

Section 1: Tnat the total valuation of the
22 taxable property of the City of Seal Beach is the sum

25 which levy shall be made and collected as by law pro-

3 the City Council of the City of Seal Beach. Californi ,

5 apportioned among the general and special funds to
