AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, OALIFORNIA,
AMENDING SmTION 5, OF ORDINA.~E NO.170,ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE CREATIliG AND PROVIDING FOR A VOLUN-
'.I!EBR FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE COMPE18ATION TO BE PAID,DE-
FINING THE DUTIES OF MEMBERS THEREOF, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH~ AS AMEND-
ED BY SIOOTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO.210 OF SAID CITY.
The City Council ot the City ot Seal Beach, California, do
sa tollows:
Section 1: That Section 5 ot Ordinanoe No.170, entitled as abov ,
and as amended by Section 1 ot Ordinance No.210 ot said City,adopte
Deoember 21st, 1936, which reads; as tollows:

"Section 5. Thero shall be pa,id to sald tire department as com-
pensation of its members tor attendance at tires, tire drills
and meetings the sum ot Fitty Dollars($50.00) pel' month, payab e
monthly, upon demand 01' demanda properly drawn, addited and al
lowed in due course ot payments by said city";
be, and the same is hereby amended to read; as tollows:
Section 5. There. shall be paid to said fire department as com-
pensation ot its members tor attendance at tires, tire drills and

meetings the sum of Sevonty-tin Dollars($75.00) pel' month, payable'
monthly, upon delll8no. or'deDiands properly drawn, audited and allowed
in dne course ot paymep.ta by said city.
Sec. 2. All ordinances or psrts ot ordinances in conflict with
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be publis -
ed o~ce in the Seal Beach Post & Wave, a newspaper printed, publish d
and generally circulat~~ tn t~o City ot Seal Beaoh, Calitornia, and

it shall thereupon take effect.
