HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 1219 1963-03-18 I I I . , , ' , ", ---. ~'- :' ''; RESOLUTION NO. 1219 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH SUPPORTING THE ADOPTION OF ASSEMBLY BILL 1151. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BBACH DOBS HEREBY RESOLVE: WHEREAS, the City of Seal Beach maintains a public beach for recreational purposes benefiting all of the people of the State of .. ~ California, and WHEREAS, said beach is frequented by persons living outside of the community, and WHEREAS, such use of said beach contributes to the cost of main- tenance of this important recreational facility, and WHEREAS, the State of California has preempted the mineral and oil production rights of the Tide Lands in front of said beach, and WHeREAS, Assembly Bill 1151 has been introduced providing for a maximum contribution of $75,000 per mile for the maintenance of public beaches, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach offers its support of Assembly Bill 1151. BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to send copies of this resolution to Senator John A. MUrdy, Jr., Assemblyman James E. Whetmore, Assemblyman William E. Dannemeyer, and Assemblyman Robert E. Badham. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of Seal Beach at a meeting thereof held on the th day of ! l the City of rch, 1963.
