THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH:!!: CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES RESOLVE AS !<'OLLO"IS: WHEREAS, on the 17th day of June, 1963, John R. Stratford, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Seal Beach, California, rendered to the Council of this City his itemized report showing the cost for sidewalk repair on each separate lot and on any frontage thereof, all as shown and set forth in the statement annexed thereto, which said work was done pursuant to the 1911 Improvement Act, and ~mEREAS, the Council finds and determines that said Superintendent of Streets' report of cost for sidewalk repair was posted by hi~ on the lOth day of June, 1963, on the bulletin board in City Hall, Seal Beach, California, which said notice and report provided that a hearing thereon would be held before this Council on the 17th day of June, 1963, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Seal Beach, California. and rmEREAS, it appears to the Council and the Council f1nds that the said Director of Public Horks kept an account of repairing said sidewalks in front of or on each separate lot or parcel of land '\olhere the '\olork was done by him or his deputy, and that he rendered an itemized report in writing to the Council showing the cost of repairing said sidewalks on each separate lot or in front thereof. or both, and that before said report was submitted to the Counc11 a copy of the same was posted for at least three days prior thereto on the bulletin board in City Hall, together with a notice of the time when the said report should be submitted to the Council for confirmation, and W1rEREAS, at said time and place referred to in said notice the Council heard said Superintendent of Streets' report, together with any objections which were raised by the property owner liable to be assessed for the work of repairing said sidewalks and the Council has made such modifications in said report as uere deemed necessary . NO\-I, THEREF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT said Superintendent of Streets~ report of cost for sidewalk repair hereinafter referred to, be and eaCh and ever,r part thereof is, hereby confirmed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of said report be turned over to the Assessor"Tax Collector of this City to be fUrther transmitted to the County Auditor as per the provisions of the Streets and HiBhways Code, Section 5628; that such fUrther proceedings be had under said 1911 Improvement Act as shall be necessary to constitute the cost of repairing said sidewalks, a special assessment against the party referred to and described in s aid report. Harry Schurch 1136.55 2. C. 8. 'Thoopson :395.40 :3 . Ii. 5813poon 21.3S Mr. Schureh had a bid of $81.00 to re1)lace his complete sidewall';. 1nstead of replaoing the hazard squares. The C1 ty had replaced all of Mr. Schuroh's sidavalk billing him $136.55. Mr. Schurch has deposited a check for $81.00. It is recommended that $81.00 be accepted as full payment for the work dono on Mr. SChurch's property, Mrs. Thol!lpson's property which was roportedly incomplete regarding the abatement of hazards has been corrected. The City'S pu lie wo:rlts crew has replaced six squarQ feet. It is recommended that this cost be ass~ed by the City. Mr. H. Sa..tpson's proporty was ra-checked and it appears the Sa\7 cut t'1ork should have been :z:-educed to six feet. It is recollllllended that the bill be reduced by $2.10. John T. Stratford, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Seal Beach, hereby certifies that he has kept an account of the cost of s1dewalk repair in front of or on each separate lot or parcel of land where the work was done by him or his deputies, and hereby renders to the Council of the City of Seal Beach his itemized report showing the cost of repairing said sidewalks on each separate lot and on any frontage thereof, all as shown and set forth in the statements hereunto annexed, hereby referred to, and by this reference made a part of this report.
