AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, REGULATING THE ER:EDTION, CONSTRlJCT-
TION, ENLARGEMENT,ALTERATION,REPAIR,MOVING,
REMOVAL,DEMOLITION,CONVERSION AND OCCUP-
ANCY OF ALL BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
AND/OR PARTS THEREOF DAMAGED AND/OR
DESTROYED IN SAID CITY BY THE EARTH-
QUAKE on March 10,1933,AND'SUBSE-

Sec.l. Tnat all Buildings and Structures and/or parts
thereof damagea and/or destroyed ln the Clty of Seal Beach,Cal1tor-
nla, by the Earthquake on March lOth,1933,and any subsequent re-6c-
curlng tremors or quakes, shall not be erected, constructed or re-

constructed,~arged, altered,repaired,moved,removed,demollshed,con-
verted,ocuupied and/or used, unless and untll the same have been

ottlclal or otficlals authorlsed by sald City Councll to make such

11 satety and morals by reason of the following facts and condltlons;

Seal Beach,damaglng and destroj1ng many buildlngs and improvements
and causlng many resldents and cltlzens ot the C1ty ot Seal Beach

to be thrown out ot snd dlspos~~ temporarlly of thelr homes,places
ot business and public buildings,making all such p~aoes unsafe and
uninhabitable,1njurleus and dangerous to the peaoe,health,satety an
morels ot sald city untll the same are restored in accordance with

20 Sec.5. The C1ty Olerk shall cert1f1 to the separate vote 0
21 the urgenoy ot th1a ordinanoe,and to the passgge and adoptlon there
22 ot by the vote of four-flfths ot the members ot the City Oouncll ot
23 the City ot Seal Beach,and cause the same to be publlsked onoe in
24 tho SEAL BEACH POST AND WAVE, a newspaper ot gen~al clrculation,
25 prlnted and published In the 01ty ot Seal Beach,and to be posted ln
26 three conapicuous public places in said clty.snd it ahall thereupon
27 take etfect.
28 I hereby cert1fy that the question of the urgency of the
29 foregolng ordlnance was passed and that the foregolng ordlnance was
30 adopted by the vote of tour-tifths of the members of the Oity Counc 1
