GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOWING OF A SPECIAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF SEAL
BEACH ON THE 12TH DAY OF MARCH,l928, ID R

EXTENSION OF THE PRESENT SEWER SYS'-l$M OF
SAID C I'l'Y .
iVHEREAS, the Boar~ of Trustees and City Council of
the City of Seal Beach, .at its regular meeting duly held on
the 19th day of January, 1928, by a vote of more than two-
thirds of all of its members, duly passed and adopted a Reso-
lution entitled:
"A Resolution of the City Council and Board
or Trustees of the City of Seal Beach, Orange County, California,
a MUnicipal Corporation, Incorporated under the Laws of the State
or California, as the Legislative Branch Thereor, Determining and
Declaring that the Public Interest and Necessity Demand the Ac-
quisition and Construction of Certain MUnicipal Improvements, to-

wit: a City Hall and Site Therefor at an Estimated Cost ot Thirty
Thousand Dollars, Also an Extenaon of the Present Sewer System
of Said City at an Estimated Cost of Twenty Thousand Dollars;
That the Cost of Each Thereof is and will be too great to be
Paid Out of the Qrdinary Annual Income and Revenue of said City~U_
and numbered 149,and said Resolution was thereupon duly ,signed
and approved by the President of said Board of Trustees and Cit~
Council and Mayor of said City, and was duly attested and cer-
titied by the City Olerk or said City.
NOW; THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees and Oity
Council of the clty of Seal Beach, do ordain as follows:
Section 1.
That a special election be held and

of Seal Beach on the 12th day of March, 1928, for the
purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City
the proposition of incurring an indebtedness and issuing
borJds of sajd city therefor in the amount hereinafter stated
and for the objects and purposes set forth in the aforesaid
Resolution and hereinafter stated.
Section 2.
That the objects and pur?oses for
which said indebtedness is proposed to be incurred aud
bonds issued th~refor are as rollows; to wit:
Proposition No. I.
The acquisition and con-
struction of a City Hall in said city, including the ac-
quisition of all lands necessary or convel.ient therefor, and
the construction thereon of a City Hall bu~lding.
Proposition 10. 2.
The extension of the present
sewer system of said city by the acquioition and construc-
tion of a sewage pumping plant and the construction of ad-
ditional collecting sellers, ir.cludiug lateral sewers, inter-
cepting sewers and main line sewers in said city, and
including the acquisition or all materials and machinery
therefor.
Section 3.
That the estimated cost of said pro-
posed nunicinal ir~:)rovement as stateJ ill proposition 1'0.

that the amount of tho principal of the in-

the proposition for the incurring of said inuebtedness for

of the qualified voters voting on such proposition at said
election, bonds of said city not exceeding the sum of Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) shall be issued and sold for

Section 6.
That for the purpose of holding said elec-
tion the entire City or Seal Heach is h~reb" designated, fixed
and established as one municipal election precinct, as the
regulcr election precinct 110'11 established ir. said City fur the
holding of Sta te al'-': Count~. elections therein, ~nd the boundaries
of said precinct shall, be the present boundaries and territ~rial
limits of said city;
that the pollinp' place for said election
shall be tho city hall buildir.g in said city of Seal Beach and
that the persons hereinafter named, being compctent and qualitied

electors and residents of said city and of such election precinct
are hereby appointed officers of election for such election pre-
cinct and they shall hold said election and make return thereof
in the manner provided by law, respectively:

Section 7. That in all particulars not' recited f this

Ordinance, said election shall be held and conducted as provided
by law for holding municipal elections in said city.
Seotion 8. That the Board of Trustees and City Counoil
of said City shall meet at their ususl plaoe of meeting in
the City Hall on Thursday the 15th day of Maroh, 1928, at 7:30
o'clock P.M., of said day and proceed to oanvass the eleotion
returns and declare the results of said eleotion.
Seotion 9. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance by a vote of more than
. ,
two thirds of the members .of the Board of 'frustees and City
Counoil of said oity at a regular meeting of said Bo~d and Coun-
oil and its approval by the President of said Board and Council
and the Mayor of said city and shall cause said ordinanoe to be
,published once a week for two suoceeding weeks in the "Sea 1
Beaoh Post and Wave, II and the "Seal Beaoh Journal;' newspapers
or general oirculation published less than six days a week in
said city, and to be posted for two suoceeding weeks before the
date of said election in the following three public plaoes in
said oity, to w it: The City Hall Building;' The United States
Post Office and the California State Bank. No other notioe
of said election need be given.
Seotion 10. This ordinanoe shall take effect upon its
passage.
