ATI01S OF ThIS O::lDIrAl;cE, II ADOPTED APRIL ~D, 1925. The Board of Trustees or the City or Seal Beech,California, do ordain as follows: Section I: That Section I or Ordinance No. 108 of the City of Seal Beach, Ca]jfornia, entitled: IIAn . Ordinance ot the City or Seal Beach for the Preservation of the Public Health, Safety and Morals of said City; Pro- hibiting Certain Acts Th~rein and Providing a Penalty for all Vio'lations of this Ordinance," adopted April 2nd, 1925, be amended as follous: Sec. I: Every person who erects or caintains any c~mp or who occupies the same at any place within the City of Seal Beach is guilty or a misdemeanor; provided that nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed as prohibiting or in any way i~t~rferi~g with the owner of lan9 in the City of Seal Beach from erecting and maintaining thereon a safe and subs~antial tent or tent house if iFMediately upon the erection thereof, and before the same is occupied or attempted to be occupied by any person, proper arrangements shall have been made for the occupants thereof for the use of a toilet cO~Lected with the public sewer, and domestic water from the municipal water s~Tstem. This proviso, however, shall not be construed as permitting the erection of any structure within the City of Seal Beach which is in violation of any Ordinance thereof ror protection against fire. Provided further, however, that it shall not be deemed a violation or this Ordinance for any \ person to erect upon that part of the Beach or shore of the Pacific Ocean within the City of Seal Beach, between the hours I. M. and seven o'clock P.M., a sun shade, if the same is immediately taken do~~ and removed on,or be- tope seven o'clock P.M. of the same day upon which it is erected and at the time ~hen the person erecting the s~e leaves the Beach or shore and provided tbBt at least fifty per cent of the side walls or any such sun shade, shall not be closed, but shall at all times, while the same is erected, be wholly open to an unobstructed view ot the interior there- or by all persons. Sec. 2: The City Clerk shall cause this Or- dinance to be published once in the Seal Beach P~st and Wave a newspaper printed and published and generally circulated in the City or Seal Beach, 9alifornia, and cause this Ordinance to be posted in et least three public places in said City or Seal Beach, and it shall take effect thirty days after its final passage.
