It shall be unlawful for any person riding, driving, operating or in charge of any motor vehicle or other vehicle to cause, suffer or permit any such motor vehicle or other vehicle to stand or remain standing upon certain portions of the public streets in the Oity 0 f Seal Beach, Oalifornia, ex- cept as hereafter defined and dee1gnatsd in this Ordinance as follows, to-wi t: !hat all motor vehicles and ather vehicles parked upon the public streets within the Oity of 8eal Beach shall be parked at an angle of 450 with the curb except on' those certain streets hereiZlafter mentioned as follClll's, to-Wit: Ilxcluding for a dis- tance of 50 feet easterly, westerly, northerly and southerly on both sides of the strset from every intersection of streets within the said Oity of Seal Beach; said distance being measured from the nearest property line of such inter..cting street. . ' IXcluding also the North side of Electric Lane and the South side of Bay Lane East of Anaheim Bay; and all motor ve- hicles or other vehicles parked upon Electric Lane and Bay Lane kst of Anaheim Bay, shall be parked parallel With the curb and at a distance of not ove/r eighteen inches tlwefrom. Provid- ing also that no motor vehicles or other vehiclss shall park upon Electric Lane wi thin 150 feet each side of the bridge crossing the bay at Anaheim Landing Within said Oity of Seal Beach. !bat all motor vehicles or other vehicles parked upon Main Street shall be parked parallel with the curb and at a distance of not over eighteen inches",tl}frefrom, elicl11d1ng both sides of said Main Street meaeuud.Tfiom the North property line of Ocea Avenue a distance of 100 feet; and. ezoluding both sid.s of Ocean Avenue measured West from the West prop~ ty ~:1ne at Jlain 8treet a distance of 100 feet. '.rhose portions of the streets of the Oity of Beal Beach upon which parking of motor vehicles or other vehicles is not permi tted shall not be used for parking purposes and no motor vehicle or other vehicle shall %Smain there for any longer period of time than 1e reasonably necessary to let off or take onpass~rs and under no circumstances remain there for a longer period of time than ten minutes. In addition to those portions of,streets in the Oity of Seal Beach upon which parking is prohibited, the further portion 0 f said streets being 25 feet en ei ther side of every fire plug within said Oity of Seal Beach, 'shall be inclUded within the portions of .: . , I~ 14 ~ction IV. It shall be unlawful for any person to leave standIng or permit the same to be left standing upon any street 15 any vehicle undergoing repairs ,or which has been stopped for the purpose of making repairs thereon, or for the purpose of camping) 16 proVided, however, that this provuion shall not apply to a ve- -.I hicle which has become disabled while an such strliet in such a 1 17 manner and to such an extent that it shall be impossible to avoid stopping such vehicle on such street and impossible to 18 remove the same therefrom until :repairs shall have been made. ..--19 Section V. It sllall be unlawful for any driver of any vehicle to back such vehicle from its parking place without first 20 giVing visible or audible warning to drivers of vehicles, street- cars, or pedestrians, behind '8UcJi Vehicle, who might be endangszed 21 or effeoted thereby. 22 Section n. It shall be unlawful for &n1' person to ride, drive, or propel, br cause or permit to be ridden, driven, or 23 propelled within the Oity of Seal Beach, any vehicle having another vehicle in tow or attached thereto by means of any rope, 24 chain, cable, toW lins or other attachment which are more than 10 feet in length, and unless there shall be displayed in a ' 25 conspicuous manner from a portion of said rope, chain, cable, toliJQ.' line or other similar deVise to olearly denote tbs ~~sence 26 ~~ c~e:t~ng means between the two vehicles, <f ~ f? ^' ; 27 Section VIII Any person or persons, firm, or corporations, either by themselves, agent or employee, violating any of tbs 28 provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty ofp_a mis- demeanor and upon conviction *h8reof shall be pun1shed7a fine 29 of not more than 160.00 or imprisonment in the county jail for a penocl of not more than 15 days inthe discretion of the Oourt. 30 section nUl All Ordinances or partsof Ordinances 1n con- 31 fl1ct w! th this Ordinance and to the extent that they effect this Ordinance are to that extent hereby repealed. 32 I I I Ordinance Number ,: '..~ I 1 said streets upon which it shall be unlawful to park such motor vehicle or otbsr vehicles within said Oity of Seal Beach. 2 It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor ve- 3 hiole or other vehicle at any place upon said streets, ezcept as herein set forth, or upon any intersection, alley, drive- 4 way or in front of &n1' theatre or moving picture show. 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 !hat thQse portions of the streets of the City of Seal Beach upon which parking is prohibited, as herein set forth, shall be indicated by diagram painted with red lines including the restriction at fire plugs, drive-ways, alleys, intersections and all reservations, as herein set forth. 'ection 11. It shall be unlawfl1l for any person to park a motor vehicle or other vehicle or permit the same to stand or remain standing between the hours of 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock A.M. of any day upon any portion of the streets of the City of Seal Beach. ~otion 111. It shall be unlawfl11 for any person, firm, or corporation to leave standing or cause to remain standing any vehicle upon &n1' street within the said Oity of Beal Beach for the purpose of s e1.1ing or exchanging said vehicle or aGlvertiaq tbs same for sale.
