";' RESOLUTION NO. 1(,~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RELAT- ING TO A CERTAIN SPECIAL Ml]NICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD APRIL 21, 1955, PROVIDING FOR VOTING HOURS~ COMPENSATION FOR ELECTION OFFICIALS. RENT FOR POLLING PLACES, FIXING THE PRECINCT PLACES, PROVIDING FOR CANVASS OF VOTES. AND FIXING THE DUTIES OF THE CITY CLERK. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 853 a speCJ.al municipal election was called for Thursday, April 21, 1955. for the purpose of eubmittmg to the votes of the City of Seal Beach a certain proposed mitiative ordinance, and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the. City Council to deSignate the polling places for such election, fix the compensation to be paid to election 12 I officers and rent for the quarters to be used as pollmg places, and 13 I." 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 " 26 ,I I 27 28 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Councu to fIX the hours 14 ! for the opening and closmg of the polls in such election, and 15 16 17 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Clerk to perform certain duties m connection Wlth such election; NOW, THEREFORE~ the City Council of the City of Seal Beach 18 I does resolve as follows: SECTION 1: That the polls shall be opened at the hour of 7 o'clock A. M., of said election day of April 21, 1955, and be kept open continuously untu the hour of 7 o'clock P. M., of such date, when the polls shall be closed. SECTION 2: That the City Council intenda to canvass the results of said election on April 26, 1955, at the hour of 8 o'clock P. M., of said day. SECTION 3: That each of the Election Officers shall be paid the sum of $10.00 as full compensation for their services in conductmg said special election. SECTION 4: That the sum of $10.00 be paid as and for rent for each pollmg place used in said election.
